The increase of the transmission capacity of the Rogatec gas interconnection will provide Slovenia and the wider region with a more reliable gas supply and access to additional gas sources from Croatia, including the LNG terminal on the island of Krk. The Statement represents an important step towards greater energy connectivity, enhanced security of supply, and greater resilience of energy systems in the region.

The planned interconnection will contribute to greater security of supply and improved interconnection of transmission systems in the region. It will enable greater diversification of gas supply sources and further strengthen energy security.
