Access to the transmission gas pipeline network means the use of the transmission gas network for consumption of an agreed quantity of natural gas in an agreed period. The consumer or access applicant exercises his right to access and ensures the use of the transmission capacity by concluding a Contract on access.
A sample procedure for access to the transmission network:
- User submits an application for connection consent to the System Operator.
- On the basis of the approval of the connection consent, the user concludes a Contract on connection with the System Operator.
- The eligible consumer or on his behalf, the supplier of the natural gas, submits a request for access to the network.
- Following approval of the access request, the System Operator forwards to the applicant the Contract on access for signature.
The System Operator of the transmission gas network may deny an applicant’s request for access in cases stipulated by the Energy Act (Official Gazette of RS, No 27/07) and regulations.
